Choosing the Right Glass Bottle for Your Product
Indo European Ltd · 28 July 2026

Glass remains the material of choice for brands that want their packaging to feel premium and their formulations to stay stable. But "glass bottle" covers a huge range of shapes, neck finishes, and colours — picking the wrong combination can mean costly retooling later.
Start with the fill, not the look
Before browsing shapes, work out what's going inside. Oil-based serums and tinctures often pair with narrow-neck dropper bottles (18mm is our most common), while jams, sauces, and preserves need a wide-mouth jar for easy filling and scooping.
Neck finish drives compatibility
The neck size and thread type determine which caps, pumps, and droppers will fit. Standardising on common sizes across your range (18mm, 24mm, 28mm) keeps your closure inventory simple and your MOQs lower.
Colour is functional, not just aesthetic
Amber and frosted glass block UV light, protecting light-sensitive actives. Clear glass showcases product colour and clarity — ideal when the contents themselves are the selling point.
